This is one of the themes from Nosferatu composed by Joe Perry. Hutter after his first night at Count Orlok's castle recounts his first strange encounter with the count in a letter to Ellen and the mysterious bites he finds on his neck. The ascending chromatic scale and unusual chord communicate the strangeness and dissociation underpinning all German Expressionist films, irrespective of their narrative arcs.
