This track featured on our score to Vertov's Man with a Movie Camera at LSO St. Luke's celebrating the film's 90th anniversary. This mind-bending documentary charts life in three Soviet cities over one day and employs every conceivable effect of filmmaking and editing, many of which were pioneered by Vertov in the pre-Stalin atmosphere of revolutionary artistic experimentation. Special thank you to Joe Perry for strange percussion and Robert Parkinson (long-term collaborator of the Cabinet) for autoharp, now a staple of Cabinet scores.
